Of all the places to get married in Cambridgeshire, an 18th-century manor house surrounded by seven acres of green grounds and gardens seems a great place to start. And at Swynford Manor every detail of your special day, from the first kiss to the last guest on the dance floor, will be delightfully different.
Your civil ceremony
There are a number of options for where to hold your civil ceremony at Swynford Manor, and it really depends on how big or small you want it to be. For brides and grooms with fanciful visions of a grand room filled with friends and family, the Garden Room is perfect. It’s fully licensed and seats up to 150 people, and is a real sight to behold with light streaming in through the surrounding windows, views of the picturesque grounds, monochrome décor and glitzy metallic touches.
Alternatively, if you’ve always dreamed of a romantic reading followed by personal vows in front of a slightly smaller crowd, the Study is the place for you. It has space for 100 guests on either side of an elegant aisle and is full of light thanks to the huge window that’s framed by luxurious curtains. You’ll say ‘I do’ in front of a beautiful carved fireplace and can step outside onto the terrace for a toast afterwards.
Whether you choose the intimate and chic Study for your civil ceremony, or opt for the statement-making scenes offered by the Garden Room, your bridal entrance will be a complete surprise. Both rooms are situated with shielded routes to the top of the aisle, so you can really make the most of that wow-worthy dress reveal. Talking of dressing, you’re also welcome to decorate any of the spaces at our venue for weddings as you wish, but with slick monochrome shades and romantic finishes aplenty, it’s already one of the most chic places in Cambridgeshire to get married.
Got your heart set on an al fresco wedding? The pretty pergola is also licensed and promises a picture-perfect ceremony for 150 guests. Find out more about our outside weddings.
